A good number of the franchisors I work with own multiple brands within their home services parent companies. Each brand caters to homeowners.
This allows their franchisees to “stack” another brand on top of the one they started within the same market.
For example, a franchisee may have a residential pressure washing and painting business. Once the business has good market penetration, the owner may be ready to grow the business but all the territory is sold out.
A solution is to add another home services brand like a roofing company a lawn care company or a window treatment business. This allows the franchisee to cross-sell to an existing customer base while also expanding the customer base with a new offering.
