The Annual Raft Debate

My thanks go out to Professor Ted Zoller who invites me to participate in a raft debate each year.  There are 4 people on the raft. The goal is for each of us to have the winning argument that keeps us on the raft. The rest get thrown overboard - figuratively speaking.

Each person on the raft is to promote their way to becoming a business owner.  Naturally, I represented franchises. There was also an investment banker, a business broker, and a creative entrepreneur who invented consumer products.

At the end of the debate, the class of Executive MBAs was pretty evenly divided among going the franchise route, buying a business, or starting from scratch.

Kudos to the @Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
