In the world of sports, where nations are represented by their finest athletes, the Refugee Olympic Team (ROT) stands as a symbol of hope, resilience, and the indomitable spirit of humanity.

First introduced at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the ROT is more than just a group of athletes. They represent the dreams, aspirations, and strength of millions of refugees worldwide.

This week Boxer Cindy Ngamba became the first-ever Refugee Olympic Team athlete to win a medal, giving the team its first piece of hardware since its creation.

The ROT members challenge any negative stereotype associated with refugees.  They inspire the world with their determination in achieving athletic excellence. Tremendous adversity is not enough to squelch their internal drive but rather serves to further inspire them.
