Our Veterans and VA Medical Personnel
Yesterday I went to Physical Therapy at my local VA hospital. This flag display I passed on the way down the hall. It made my patriotic heart skip a beat when I viewed it.
During my hour-long physical therapy session, my patriotic heart was aflutter as I watched the other veterans doing their exercises and treatments. Several had prosthetic legs🦿. Some were confined to wheelchairs.
There was a camaraderie among us. I could feel it. The mood was positive. There was no complaining. There was honor and dignity and humanity. Others may have felt sad as they glanced around the large room.
I felt GLAD and PROUD and HONORED and BLESSED to be in the midst of these heroes - both the veterans and the dedicated medical personnel at the VA hospital.
Monday we celebrate Memorial Day🤍. I encourage you to remember and give thanks to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country. Remember and give thanks for the sacrifice their families made, too.
